Are you absolutely starving after a workout or do you shy away from every food in sight? An article in Fitness Magazine states you should always have a small snack after your workout, even if you don’t think you have an appetite, which is completely normal.
Delaying when you eat can slow down your recovery process, potentially making your next workout tougher. You only need a small recovery snack, like an apple, yogurt, or a stick of cheese, preferably within an hour of your routine. This is when your body is most receptive to muscle repair and glycogen replenishment.
