A smile looks good on you! Did you know it could even improve your performance when exercising? Eliud Kipchoge, the Kenyan marathon runner, periodically smiled through his fastest-ever marathon.

A study at Ulster University in Northern Ireland and Swansea University in Wales tested a group of recreational runners and had them alternately grin and grimmace as they ran. The runners turned out to be most economical when they smiled periodically.
