Do you have a passion for running, but can’t exercise to your fullest because of lower back pain? Well, thanks to researchers at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center, there may be a solution to this pain!
Researchers found that your deep core muscles play a large role. If the deep core muscles are lacking, other muscles have to do more of the work, causing fatigue earlier. If your deep core muscles are working, the load would be shared, theoretically allowing you to have better performance or endurance. Researchers suggest to practice static core-stabilizing moves, ideally on an uneven surface. Planks are one of the best exercises to do so.
