We thought it would be a great idea to share a few health myths debunked by Best Life.

  •  The best indicator of intensity level is a heart rate monitor. The finger pulse is not as accurate as an arterial pulse, so the machine reading should only be used as a guide.
  •  Carrots give you “night vision.”
  •  Bottled water is better for you than tap water. Most municipal water is safe and often contains useful minerals.
  •  Chocolate causes acne. Chocolate lovers rejoice! Scientists studied this by providing 65 subjects with candy bars. Some had 10x the chocolate while others had none and studied them for a month. At the end, there was no noticeable increase of acne in one group.
