Are you a fan of nut butter?

These can often be healthier alternatives to peanut butter. Thanks to Food & Nutrition Magazine, try making your own:

  •  Use either a blender or food processor
  • Mix 2 cups of unsalted nuts, ¾ teaspoon salt, and 2 to 4 teaspoons oil
  •  To make the butters more flavorful, add in ingredients such as instant coffee, unsweetened cocoa, honey, or cinnamon
  •  Homemade nut butter can be refrigerated for up to 6 months
