Are you a fan of nut butter?
These can often be healthier alternatives to peanut butter. Thanks to Food & Nutrition Magazine, try making your own:
- Use either a blender or food processor
- Mix 2 cups of unsalted nuts, ¾ teaspoon salt, and 2 to 4 teaspoons oil
- To make the butters more flavorful, add in ingredients such as instant coffee, unsweetened cocoa, honey, or cinnamon
- Homemade nut butter can be refrigerated for up to 6 months
